Vintage 1970s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Tweed and Velvet Skirt Suit

This classic Yves Saint Laurent tweed skirt suit was purchased in the early 1970s by its one and only previous owner, Joan of Winter Park, Florida while she lived and worked in Paris for Estee Lauder. It features a textural maroon, cream and hunter green tweed blazer with a slightly wider lapel and is accented with a deep hunter green velvet collar and sleeve cuffs. It also has a smaller breast pocket as well as a single button closure and two matching pockets at the waist. The classic, figure flattering skirt is the same rich tweed fabric and its classic fit is accented with a small waistband with belt loops and a placket of buttons down the center front of the skirt and has two discrete pockets at each hip. This suit is completely versatile and can be incorporated any number of ways in to your existing wardrobe, both paired together or separately. It is in perfect vintage condition. Note: Since this suit was purchased to fit its original owner, the jacket and skirt are not the same size. As with the original owner, it is perfect for someone who may be bigger up top but has a small waist. The jacket is a Size: 6 and the skirt will fit a Size: 0-2. That being said, please check all measurements as this will be sold as a complete suit and not separate the pieces.
