Vintage 1980’s Donna Karan Black Suede and Knit Jumper

In 1984 Karan left Anne Klein and Donna Karan New York was formed in 1985. She was a bridge line pioneer, starting DKNY in 1988. Today Donna Karan New York is owned by LVMH, but Donna is still there as head designer. Donna Karan is known for her use of black; the look is sleek with little decoration. This particular jumper is the epitome of 1980’s Donna Karan edgy understated glamour. This boxy, navy suede jumper has the bodice construction of a classic 1980’s jacket with prominent shoulders (interior shoulder pads can be worn as is or removed for a more understated silhouette) and a small fitted waist. What makes this garment even more unique is the jacket-like bodice is connected to a knit bodysuit style bottom with high leg line and snaps at the crotch for easy removal. There is one small blemish on the garment in the way of a small hole in the knit fabric right near the waistline. Fits a Size: 4-6 (US)
